CORY PRUETT Deputy Chief Financial Officer Promotion

We are proud to recognize Cory Pruett on his well-earned promotion to Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Cory has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership, working diligently to ensure a smooth and efficient transition for the actuarially-required COLA .5 contribution accounting. He has also played a key role in the ERP transition, specifically ensuring the new system seamlessly interacts with our bank to process Accounts Payable payments. Cory consistently demonstrates the characteristics of an Ideal Team Player and continues to develop his management and staff training skills. His collaboration across KCERA divisions and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable member of the team.

CORI ROWLAND Deputy Chief Member Services Officer Promotion

We are also proud to recognize Cori Rowland on her well-earned promotion to Deputy Chief Member Services Officer. Since joining KCERA, Cori has exemplified what it means to be an Ideal Team Player. Through her dedication and expertise, Cori has grown into a trusted leader and mentor who is respected by her colleagues. Her in-depth knowledge of our programs, along with her proficiency in a wide variety of calculations, has been instrumental in training and supporting staff. She is a valuable resource and an integral part of the KCERA team. We look forward to seeing Cori embrace this new role and continue making valuable contributions to the ongoing success of the Member Services Division.

 BRANDON DUONG Exceptional Dedication

Brandon is  recognized  for  his  outstanding  teamwork,  dedication,  and  commitment  to  service. Although he has been with KCERA for only a few months, Brandon stepped up when several team members went on leave, taking on additional responsibilities and serving as the primary person answering member phone calls. His flexibility and dependability helped ensure members continued to receive quality service. Brandon approaches every responsibility with a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed. He has been an Ideal Team Player and KCERA is proud to recognize his excellence.

ANDREA YGLESIAS Exceptional Dedication

Andrea is recognized for her outstanding dedication, initiative, and attention to detail in onboarding investment managers. Since January, Andrea has helped ensure more than 20 timely investment closings—an exceptional volume for this time of year. She has steadily strengthened her approach by  welcoming  feedback,  consistently  using  a  detailed  checklist,  and  proactively  identifying concerns  for  attorney  review.  Her  follow-through  and  commitment  to  continuous  improvement have  helped  the  Legal  team  work  more  efficiently  while  providing  excellent  support  to  KCERA’s Investment team. Andrea’s hard work exemplifies excellence, and KCERA is proud to recognize her contributions.

KRISTEN MCDONALD,  CORY PRUETT,  & JESSICA QUINTERO CALAPRS Management Academy Completion

We are proud to recognize Kristen, Cory, and Jessica, who successfully completed the California Association of Public Retirement Systems (CALAPRS) Management/Leadership Academy — an intensive, multi-module leadership development program designed specifically for leaders within public retirement systems. Over the course of three modules spanning eight full days across three months, they engaged in advanced training,focusing on enterprise management, strategic problem solving, and leadership within the unique context of public pension administration. Graduation from the Academy required full participation in all modules and a demonstrated commitment to professional growth. These team members have invested in developing the skills necessary to lead teams effectively, navigate complex challenges, and support the long-term sustainability of our retirement system.
