Mr. Gill is a Deputy Public Defender for the Kern County Public Defender’s Office. In his role, he handles complex felony trial cases, including homicides and other life-exposure cases. Prior to completing law school, Mr. Gill worked at the Kern County Assessor-Recorder’s Office as an appraiser with the Natural Resources section, valuing oil and gas properties, mineral properties, and cogeneration facilities for property tax purposes. Later, he moved into a managerial role, overseeing the budget and administrative functions at the office.

Mr. Gill earned B.S. in Business Administration from CSUB, an MBA from the University of California- Riverside, and, more recently, a Juris Doctorate from the Kern County College of Law. He is a Kern County Bar Association member and active in its Criminal Defense section.

Mr. Gill is married and has three school-aged children.
